Australian Painters Competition
When: Mar 22, 2025 from 08:00 AM to 01:00 PM (AWST)
AMPP Australia Chapter’s 2025 Painter’s Competition, to apply protective coatings to a piece of fabricated steel plate that has been designed especially for this annual event.
Up to 10 teams consisting of a supervisor, sprayer and helper, the competition will be conducted in a simulated workspace and all industry applicable rules and regulations will apply, including proper PPE, equipment and attire.
The purpose of the AMPP Australia Chapter Painters Competition is multi-fold. Firstly, it serves as an opportunity for AMPP Australia Chapter to showcase its dedication to the painters in our industry. By organising this competition, we aim to demonstrate our commitment to supporting and recognising the talents and skills of painters.
Secondly, the competition provides a platform for painters to showcase their abilities and compete with their peers. It offers them a chance to gain recognition within the industry and potentially open doors to new opportunities and professional growth.
Moreover, the competition acknowledges the vital role of blaster-painters in our craft. It is estimated that approximately 70 of premature coatings failures can be attributed to issues related to application. By highlighting the importance of the blaster-painter craftworker, we hope to raise awareness and promote excellence in the field.
